I have a super fun giveaway today featuring my super talented friend, Allie! I have known her for almost a year and it has been so fun sharing each other’s passions. Her drawing and art is amazing. When she came to with the idea of a giveaway I couldn’t say no. One thing I have learned and loved about blogging is connecting with people and snail mail! You can always use some cute stationary! This stationary is THE cutest. Enter in below and make sure to follow along on her IG. You can direct message her for any inquiries.
My eyes are always immediately drawn to jewel tones. I love mustard yellows and pretty jade blues. We have a room in our house that color blue and I love it. Of course my eyes went all heart shaped when I saw this romper hanging on the rack. It had a little bit of 70s vibe with the fun sheer sleeves. One of my favorite things about partnering up with boutiques is getting to pick something I love and styling it so it’s me. I LOVED this romper on and I knew it needed more than just shoes to complete the look. My mind went straight to these black studded booties I had gotten from Target last year. I wanted to make the look more edgy and fun. This hat from Oasap brought the look together, and my favorite sunglasses were like the icing on the cake! The best part about this romper is that it’s absolutely perfect for a date night. Throw on some heels, a few bangles, and paint the town red, y’all! I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday weekend. I have a super cute giveaway coming on Monday, so be sure to stop by!
There is something so chic and sophisticated about an all black ensemble. I love the simplicity of it. When I picked out this peplum from Rumor Boutique, I knew that was exactly how I wanted this outfit to look. Simple, but with a few pops. One being my lips. A red lip was a must! Two, my clutch! Never say never to a bedazzled purse with a bow. You just can’t! As soon as I walked out the door, Bobby said, “Hey cat woman!” I took it as a compliment, ’cause hello! Michelle Pfeiffer & Anne Hathaway had it going on in the Batman movies. No matter what season or year we are in I feel like leather/pleather will always be in style. The faux leather on this peplum added such a unique touch, so I opted for no accessories. Middle Georgia ladies, if you haven’t checked out Rumor Boutique yet you are missing out! They are getting in some of the cutest fall clothes, which sounds a little miserable because of this silly Georgia heat, but it is getting this girl super excited! I can’t wait to show you guys the romper I just got from them! Eek! It will be posted tomorrow!
Wow, what a trip.
I got to spend a week in New York with my favorite gal pals back in July and it was amazing! As you may know, Marla & I assist our super talented photographer friend,Haley Sheffield. She had her first wedding in the big apple, and we got to tag along! We did so many things and ate our way through the city. I’ll try to break it down for you and not make this too terribly long!
We arrived Tuesday, the 22nd and went to this sweet cafe called Lucid in Queens. We planned our day and headed to Times Square, a tourist must, of course! Being a couple of Georgia peaches we ate at Southern Hospitality, which happened to be Justin Timberlake’s restaurant. SO good, I had these spring rolls filled with fried pimento mac and cheese. What?! We ended the day in Central Park with some ice cream.
The next days all involved amazing food, like Shake Shack, the best cheeseburger I’ll ever eat. We had the best doughnut in NYC at Pies & Thighs in Williamsburg, amazing gelato at Chelsea Market, The Meatball Shop changed my life, Dylan’s candy bar did not disappoint, I mean you have to go if you are ever in NY. It was a dream come true for this candy lover. I’m a huge fan of Love Taza, and she has some of the best suggestions on where to eat & shop in NY. One of the places her and her cute family visit frequently is Bubby’s. It was delicious and the vintage photo booth downstairs is a must! We celebrated Marla’s birthday while we were there and we went to another place Naomi recommended, an Indian restaurant called Milon. You guys, this place was incredible. The ceiling is decked out in Christmas lights upon Christmas lights. Such a fun experience. We ended that night at a comedy club. So much food, you guys! These were just some of my favorites. We got to attend Hillsong on Sunday and it was just what we needed. The worship, the message, it was perfect. “We are all qualified for such a time is this!”
We made some wonderful friends, one being the bride that got married on that Friday. She was absolutely the sweetest and her wedding was stunning. We had the best time dancing the night away, and second shooting. Our job is pretty freaking cool! Our last day was spent with another bride to be, who lives in Long Island. Haley is shooting her wedding in October. We had the best time eating bagels on the beach, hanging out at their beautiful home, and ended the night laughing, drinking some wine, and yummy cheeses and hummus. You guys, my heart is full from this trip. People are just beautiful. I have such a great framily. Here are some photos from our trip! Enjoy!
I have had such a great privilege to know some really awesome and creative people. One being, Elizabeth Hyer. This gal makes her own clothes, y’all. What’s cooler than that? Her pieces are one of a kind, and since they’re designed so uniquely, her one-size-fits-all clothing is flattering on any body type. For me it was pretty big, but I loved how it fell and I opted for the sticky bra just so a bandeau wouldn’t take away from it. I love how any hairstyle can turn your outfit from causal to quirky to sophisticated. My go-to style lately has been the half up bun. Bobby isn’t a fan, but I love it! I love how it pulled the whole outfit together. Have you guys checked out Aeropostale lately? They are killing it with some of their new arrivals, like these high waisted jeans! I knew they would be perfect with this top and a great transition into fall. Throw on a cardigan and some moccasins and you’re ready to go to the pumpkin patch!
I’ll be doing a giveaway with this top in the next couple of weeks so be on the lookout! Also, don’t forget to go check out more from Hyer Handmade! You’re going to be obsessed!

Remember in high school when you would celebrate spirit week? On one of those days you would always got to dress tacky, and no one could make fun of you cause that’s the way you were suppose to dress. I thought it was so fun. Never ever would I try to mix up prints and colors. I always made sure everything matched and my hair had to be perfect. I NEVER wore it up in public. Haha. As I have gotten older I have learned so much about mixing colors and patterns, and learned that not everyone is going to get your style. I use to envy people that could pull off these extraordinary outfits and strut their stuff with such confidence. I mean, Lizzie McGuire had it going on, and I was just too focused on [this] matching [this] and being the generic girl. I have to say I am very happy with my colorful quirky style, and that’s how this outfit came about. I didn’t want to style the tank with just jeans or shorts, I wanted to make a statement. I thought the a-line skirt really added some fun and the colors are just brilliant together. Don’t worry about what people say or think, have fun with your clothes! They say a lot about you, so why not let them be fun!

Well hello there strangers!
I’m back from New York and I’m ready to conquer the world. New York is good for the mind, body, & soul. Seriously. I’ll share more from my trip later.
Kim from Oh Sweet Joy sent some fun goodies from her shop before I left and I’m so excited to show them off! You guys may have seen the super cute tote saying, “Eat more Ice Cream!” On my IG! I also received some koozies, fun little headbands that you will see soon, and this tank! It has quickly become one of my favorite tanks I own. There’s something about the material, cut, and color that makes me really happy! I’m a sucker for anything grey and you might be surprised, but I’m totally into Willie Nelson as well. You outdid yourself with this one, Kim. Check out more of her adorable items here and follow her IG cause her feed is nothing but cuteness.

What do you do when your husband leaves all his camera equipment at work, but you’re all ready to take outfit photos!? Use your iPhone! I have to say I’m pretty proud of how these photos turned out! It was a heck of a lot faster & easier. What do you guys think?
I love shorts. I especially love non jean shorts. It’s so fun having a pair in a crazy color, pattern, material, & style to dress up or down. Riffraff always has the best selection of these kind of shorts, and I got my first pair from them. I’ve kinda started a collection. ☺️ This pair is a new favorite I got in the mail last week! I love the teal color & the pretty scallop detailing around the bottom. I decided to make it more causal with my keds, but they would be super cute with a crop top and some wedges!
Hope you’re having a great week!
This dress. You guys this dress has made all my “I need a black dress” dreams come true. Thanks to Riffraff, it’s going to be my go-to for any fancy events or weddings coming up! I love the slit in the back and it’s just the right midi length for a girl on the shorter side. I kept it simple with delicate gold accessories, cause sometimes less is more. I’m so excited to wear this to an upcoming wedding that Marla & I are assisting Haley on in NYC! Ahh! It’s going to be a blast! I’ll share more about that later! Hope you’re staying cool! It’s getting to that almost miserable time here in Georgia.
How is it already July, y’all?! This summer is flying by and the temperature keeps rising here in Georgia. We had a new grocery store just open in our downtown area called Ocmulgee Traders. It’s super cute, and just happens to sell King of Pops! I know y’all have heard me talk about this local Popsicle cart, and I could just go on and on about them! Their homemade Popsicles are seriously the best, especially on a hot summer day. I had the coconut lemongrass and it was pretty tasty.
This tank from Riffraff has been my go-to lately. I love how over-sized and soft it is. It’s perfect to throw on with some shorts and even under some overalls. I love the fun tie-dye colors and it shows just enough on the sides to wear a fun bandeau. Basically you need it!
