Okay so hopefully by now you gals have made your way over to shopbando.com at least once since following my blog. I’m a huge fan and couldn’t be more excited about their new spring line! Everything is super fun, colorful, and stupid cute. I snagged the everything-tote in rose gold metallic and it’s my new favorite bag! I’ve never been a pink person and now I can’t get enough. The pink lining in this bag gives the right amount of pink I’ve been missing in my everyday looks. I’ll be sharing some other ban.do goodies I got coming up! Be sure to check out all the new stuff, and you can thank me later for getting hooked! Back to metallics, I don’t know what it is about this shiny material, but it’s having a moment in my wardrobe right now. I recently purchased these bad boys! You just can’t say no to a $25 pair of rose gold metallic shoes! I cant wait to style them on here for you guys. Hope y’all had a great weekend. Ours was another good one. We hung out with friends in Atlanta, then we bummed around the house watching movies and ate some ridiculously good pizza. Two words: pimento cheese. Yes! I’ll just let that sink in.
I didn’t think I would ever say this but I’m ready for some warmer weather. I am a huge fan of winter – I love the hot drinks, the layering of scarves and coats, and soup. But lately I’ve just been dreaming of warmer days filled with sunshine, shorts, and sandals. We went out to the Indian mounds this past weekend ’cause the weather was so nice. It was a little tease of some spring weather. The Indian mounds are some of the largest in the world. It’s a pretty cool historical part of our city. I hadn’t been since I was in elementary school, so it was fun to see it again and actually take in all the beautiful scenery. Later Saturday night we went out to a local bar to watch the guys play. If you’re just now reading along, my husband and his friends are in a band together called Good Night Alive. It was a packed house and they did amazing, per usual. This past weekend was a good one and I always hate to see them go, but it just means there are even better ones ahead. Hope you have a great week!
When Caroline from Lady Like Lace emailed me about doing a collaboration involving sequins I knew I couldn’t say no! First of all, have you checked out her blog?? Her style is so chic, girlie, and classic. Make sure to check out her blog here!
I’m sure by now you gals have heard of this mascara. I have wanted to try it for quite some time now because who doesn’t love long, luscious, lashes? I’m always trying the new and different brands to get those, and yes these are my real lashes. When Emily reached out to me about doing a review I couldn’t type yes fast enough! I was so excited to try it and see what all the hype was about. So, yes, it really does make your lashes pop! I love the way it lengthens and shapes my lashes. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to give your lashes a little “lash lift” I will say it’s a little tricky at first. You have to find your own little technique. As for me, I found it helpful going slow and wiggling both brushes while I applied it. The fibers did get around my eye and on my skin, but the good thing is that they don’t smudge, so you can just brush those away once you’re done. I’m giving this product a 5 out of 5. It’s definitely worth every penny. Check out www.emilyloveslashes.com to get your fix!
It’s finally winter here in ‘ol Georgia. I would lie if I said I wasn’t freezing in these photos. It was soooo cold! We didn’t have much light to work with so we flew up to a parking garage rooftop. The sunset was beautiful, the wind and frigid air was not! I’ve had my eye on a similar dress for a while, and when I saw this one pop up on Riffraff I snatched it up fast! The price was too good to be true. I can’t wait to style it once it gets a little warmer.
Like my title reads “the south rocks”, it really does! I love where I live and where I come from. I grew up listening to country music, eating the best home cooking, and always being surrounded by family. There’s just nothing quite like a tall glass of sweet tea. Recently Bobby and I have been binge watching Hart of Dixie. Have you seen it?? I’m kinda of embarrassed to say I’m obsessed with all the thick, corny accents, Rachel Bilson, the cute little traditions, and a small town. What can I say, you can’t take the south out of the girl!
Happy Friday, y’all!
So I am a HUGE fan of Nasty Gal if y’all haven’t noticed yet. They have such an amazing variety of clothing. From my jewel bustier, to this fringe beauty, to one of my favorite rompers I own. I just can’t get enough. One day while I was going through my Free People app drooling at everything, I came across this jacket and I fell in love. But not with the price tag. At the time, I didn’t care how much it was. I knew I had to have it. When we made our trip to Savannah last month we walked into a Free People and there it was in its fringy, shaggy, perfection. I couldn’t wait to try it on and convince Bobby how it was meant to be mine. Sadly, it was HUGE, and a little too much for my small frame. I was devastated, but still in the back of my mind I was thinking of ways I was going to make it work. I went over and over in my head trying to justify buying it, then I decided to check out Nasty Gal’s sale selection. I found this one and died! It’s such a fun piece that plays up nicely in my wardrobe, and it saved me a good hunk of cash too! I’m not knocking the other one at Free People, trust me, it’s beautiful and I love me some free people, but this Nasty Gal wins the cake! It’s $34 right now, so you better get it before they are all gone!! <3
You know what else is my favorite right now?! This necklace. I love layering, but sometimes it’s hard to find the different lengths to get the right style you are going for. This necklace from Riffraff does all the work for you and all you have to do is put it on and you have the perfect layering look!
Hope your Tuesday is awesome!
Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.
I have wanted a faux fur coat for forever!!! When I stumbled upon this beauty at Nasty Gal (which has THE best coat and cardigan selection I’ve ever found), I knew I had to have it! The color is so fun, and green happens to be one of my favorite colors. A fur coat is just so glamorous and classy. It’s a piece that is timeless and one you will hold onto forever. I know I’m never letting this one go. What I love most about this one is how you can dress it up or play it down with jeans. I opted for a more causal look and paired my sequin skirt with a fun tee. Y’all know I love a good tee. This one reads ‘ All I want is Mu’ from Riffraff, but you can snag one for yourself from Show me Your MuMu. I swear it’s the softest tee, and it’s super long and flowy.
What was your favorite present?
How was your Christmas?!
I’m finally back to blogging after fighting an ugly cold. It was awful. Now my poor Bobby is sick. Other than the sickness, our Christmas was really good! Bobby got me this amazing faux fur coat from Nasty Gal. I’ll be sharing that beauty next. I love plaid, it’s the perfect print for Christmas. I love this skirt I got from Riffraff, it’s a heavier material which is great for the really cold days. I paired it with my bow sweater that Bobby gifted to me two Christmas ago. It’s still one of my favorite cardigans I own. I can’t believe 2015 is this week! How crazy?! I’m super excited to see what the new year holds! Hope you all have a fabulous Monday!
We had the best time in Savannah this past weekend. Savannah is such a charming city, full of beautiful architecture, the best little local shops, and some of the most delicious restaurants. Bobby and I got lucky and found a place on airbnb.com that was walking distance to everything. If you haven’t heard of airbnb yet, then you have to check it out! It’s a really cool site where people rent our their homes for reasonable prices. I want to stay here next. I’m so happy we got to spend the weekend with my parents and aunt & uncle. We ate really good food, got to enjoy the beautiful city & all the cute homes, did a little window shopping, and we went on a ghost tour. The ghost tour was creepy, but very interesting. They told us other facts and history about Savannah too. I totally recommend going on one if you visit. The best part about the trip was the weather. It was perfect! Georgia weather is always crazy, but this past weekend it wasn’t too hot or too cold. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I can’t believe it’s 9 days till Christmas! Ahh! SO excited!
Congrats to Conny who won our giveaway! Thank you to everyone who entered!
