One of the most important things that I believe needs to always look just right is… your hair! Hehe. In the south you hear all the jokes and funny quotes about hair. One of my all time favorites is “If anyone tells you your hair is too big, get rid of them. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.” I couldn’t have said it better myself, Dolly.
Here in Macon, we have a pretty good selection of salons, but I only trust the best of the best. Signature Salon, located off Bass Road, is seriously my favorite. I have been through my fair share of salons, but at Signature I always come back to the sweetest stylists, perfect products, and fabulous hair. I seriously can’t wait to go back lavender. Eek!
Signature has just started a new series where you get one-on-one time with a stylist showing you all the tips and tricks for your hair and makeup. I got to attend one a couple weeks ago on how to fill in your brows and placement of eye makeup. I’ve never done a thing to my brows, but I’ve recently been more interested in how to make them fuller and more shaped for my face. The class was such a fun experience. We learned our brow shape, the areas where we could be waxing or plucking too much away, filling in, shaping, day/night looks with eye shadows, and the placement of eye shadows. Doesn’t this sound like such a perfect night out with your girls!? The next class is how to do beach waves! If you’re in the Macon area I highly recommend you attend! Follow Signature Salon on Instagram and Facebook to keep update on dates and times!
Today is super awesome because not only is it Friday, but it’s the first day of spring! Whoo! I have been waiting for the perfect day to wear this romper, and the other day the weather was magic. I love the bright pattern and I’m a sucker for a good romper. Last night our town kicked off the Cherry Blossom festival. Not sure what that is? Well just think of a mini fair with fun activities to do throughout the week, food trucks, beautiful cherry blossom trees on every corner, and literally everything is pink! It’s a mean girls dream. Hehe. I know what I’ll be doing this weekend! Get out and enjoy this weather! <3
Congrats to Jennifer S. for winning my giveaway! Thanks so much for entering! Y’all are seriously the best!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today I’m teaming up with Rachel from Rachel Lately to bring you two fun looks that will surely save you from a few pinches. I went with a day time look since the weather here has skipped right into summer. It is hot! This dress is perfect because it’s a blank canvas that I can accessorize and change up with different colors and shoes. I opted for some green arm candy and more of a neutral layering of necklaces. How great is the donut?! Studio DIY did a post about making your own donuts and adding lucky charms and we all know how I feel about donuts, so I had to try it for myself. So good and too adorable. For info on Rachel’s night time outfit check out her blog here! I’ve been following Rachel since around the time I started my blog. That’s one of the cool things about the internet is connecting with people who love the same things you do!
Hope you have a Happy St. Pattys day! Go get a Shamrock Shake!

Two of my favorite things are dachshunds and Ban.do. I wasn’t a huge dachshund fan until I met Bobby and fell in love with his dog, Nina. I’ve been hooked ever since. Now we have 3 of our own, including sweet Nina. I can’t remember exactly when I found out about Ban.do, but I remember loving everything from their site to their products. I loved all the bright colors, quirkiness, and fun they put in to each item. My first purchase was the sequin heart shoe clips. I mean it doesn’t get any cuter than those!
My blogger friend, Julia from High Heels and Happy Hartz messaged me a month ago about doing a collaboration and since we both have dachshunds and love Ban.do we decided we had to do a post combining the two. It was a match made in heaven! Since Ban.do just came out with the most ridiculously cute totes, koozies, and sunglass straps we thought there was no better way to mix the two than with a picnic! Julia has the cutest dachshund named Julep. You have to check out her blog! I love her colorful and girly style. As I try to type this, I have Beasley sitting on top of me with her toy trying to rip it apart. Geez, she always has to be right where I am. I wish I could have had all 3 babies in this post, but it was a lot easier with her since she’s so small and she’s kinda the cutest.
Hope you’re starting to get some warmer weather wherever you are! It’s really starting to feel like spring here. We are loving every minute of it. Have a great weekend!

To say thank you for following along and being so awesome, I’ve teamed up my with favorite brand, Ban.do, to give away the bag I’ve been carrying since it came out! I have been having so much fun taking a photo a day with my instax. I thought it would become a pain to try to remember to snap a memory here or take a photo there, but it has been the best challenge. So here we are already in the month of March. Can you believe it? Time literally flies, so start taking more photos!
February was wonderful. It’s one of my favorite months, so I went a little overboard with photos because some days deserve a few more clicks. One of my favorite days includes our trip to Nebraska. Our former youth pastors moved out there back in May to plant a church and we got to fly out to be a part. It was incredible. We got to experience their first service that included over 280 people and it was amazing. It was so great to see what growth they have made and the relationships they have built. I may be a little jelly because Nebraska gets such a cool family and Mercy City Church, but me and Bobby are so excited for what God is doing there. I don’t know if I have any readers from Lincoln, Nebraska or near that area, but if you are please check out Mercy City Church.
Some other favorite days include Galentine’s Day, when Bobby had the genius idea to make Oreo Rice Krispies, visiting my Nana & Papa and seeing their new baby goats, dinner dates with old friends, Good Night Alive band-dinner, girls night, & seeing my bestie with her growing baby bump.
My least favorite day would have to be when my Papa fell. There’s no photos for those two days because me and my Mom went to stay with him and my Nana. I’m so happy we got to be there when they got home from the hospital. They mean the world to me. He is doing better, but I will ask if you would continue to pray for him. Thank you.
March, good luck! February was kinda awesome.
“We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.”
Happy March, y’all!
I am super excited to finally be getting closer to warmer weather and getting my lavender hair back! Eek! Nothing says springtime better than pastel hair & floral print. I feel like no matter what year it is or how old you are, floral print is always in. Every girl needs a good floral kimono. It’s such a great piece that can be dressed down or up and, depending on the colors, can be worn all year round. This is more of a causal look, but I would throw it over a black dress and heels to add some color and texture.
You know what else I am excited about?! Palm Springs!!! Me and Bobby are planning a trip soon and I can’t wait! I have always wanted to visit Salvation Mountain. Words can’t describe how beautiful it is, so go here if you have never heard of it. Isn’t it breathtaking?? I have a list of other things I want us to do and see, but if any of you have been, I would love some more recommendations. <3
Have a happy Monday!

My husband is my favorite person in the world, so whenever we have a chance we always try to have a good ol’ date night. I knew this dress would be perfect for a night out. I love the drop waist. It gives the dress a fun, flirty feel and I can never say no to polka dots. I decided to dress it up this time around, but I can totally see me rocking it with some converse and a jean jacket. I’ve recently been getting into fun novelty bags. Asos has a few I’ve been eyeing like this one and this one. I thought this lip clutch from Riffraff would add a nice pop of color, and it couldn’t be cuter. Hope you all had a great weekend! Here’s to an awesome week!
What’s the saying? You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. That’s me ya’ll. I am a country girl through and through. Sure, my style is nothing that of a cowgirl, but I love some old country music. I grew up listening to Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, George Jones, and Garth Brooks, just to name a few. Me and Bobby can be riding down the road, flipping through stations, and land on a country station, and I can pick up right where the song is and whoever is singing. I just love that those songs and artists have been apart of a lot of my childhood. Speaking of the country, my favorite place in the entire world happens to be in the middle of nowhere. I’m a huge family oriented person. I love spending time with my family. I try to visit my grandparents once or every other week. They live out in a small town where they raise goats and catfish the size of my dog, Beasley. Hehe. I went the other day and one of their goats had two babies. I love baby goats! Eek! They have to be the cutest baby animal. The mama and two babies went missing, so me, my mom, and Nana went trekking through the woods, after a few falls and getting stuck with thorns we found them. It was a hilarious and fun memory I’ll keep forever. With all that being said, go call your grandparents or go visit them! I promise you it will make their day and yours!
Also, sequinned shorts!!!! Ahh!! How perfect are these going to be once the weather starts warming up? Riffraff continues to be one of my favorite boutiques. Be sure to check Monday through Friday at 10 am for new arrivals.
