I have a special place in my heart for all things vintage. I love seeing items that my grandparents use to have being used to decorate houses today. I think the reason I love things like that is because it brings back such sweet memories. I was on the hunt for a dress that would match my new hair perfectly. Asos has the best selections of dresses. They have every color and style you can think of. When I came across this one I knew it would be the right fit for my new lavender do, and I loved the vintage feel. It reminded me of something my granny would have worn. I have always been in love with midi dresses, but wasn’t sure it work with my height. Luckily it hit in just the right spot and the fit was perfect! Asos never let’s me down.
I knew these Free People clogs would give my look the finished granny chic I was going for. I love how granny chic has become apart of the world of fashion. Who would have ever thought dressing like your grandma would be in? I’m loving the florals, pops of colors, and traditional textiles. At least when we do get older we will already be in style, I just hope I’m as awesome as Iris Apfel (92 year old fashion icon).

I baked my first ever pumpkin pie this past Sunday! I love that my Ban.do planner has fun to-dos every weekend, and this past weekend was bake a pumpkin pie. I was so excited, since this was my first, and nervous ’cause I’m not the best baker in the world. I had a pumpkin painting party so I knew the pie would make a perfect treat. Everyone LOVED it! Here’s the easy peasy recipe! Enjoy!
Recipe from allrecipes.com
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Preheat oven to 425 and whisk all ingredients in medium sized bowl until smooth. Pour into crust then bake 15 minutes.
Reduce oven to 350 and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from crust comes out clean. Let cool and add some whipped cream and enjoy!
Since changing my hair to lavender, purple, violet, (all the purples it has faded or changed to) I have gotten many questions! Here’s a little FAQ! If you have any other questions please contact me through my email or comment below!
Did you have to bleach your hair?
Yes! I went to my salon and they lifted my hair to a white blonde.
How did you choose a color, and what tips do you have about choosing a color?
I have always wanted pastel hair. When I saw Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie flaunting it, I knew I had to try it out! I was super nervous ’cause I’ve never done anything this drastic to my hair, so I had no idea what to expect. I love it so much! My tips on choosing a color would be make sure it compliments your skin tone and your wardrobe. Have fun with it and if you have confidence and you love it then that’s all that matters.
Is your hair texture different?
It is, but in a good way! I condition it really well, and I’m able to avoid washing it for several days.
Does it fade easily?
It did the first time she put the lavender on my hair. I had to go back a second time to really let it set in and it’s been going strong since then.

Why do such great weekends have to come to an end? Don’t get me wrong, I love the start of a new week, but the weekends are always just the icing on the cake. We got to hang with new and old friends and we had some chilly weather! Yay! We saw the movie Gone Girl on Saturday, and you guys… you have to see it! It is absolute craziness! I could tell you all what happens, but I’ll spare you the longest blog post ever and just say go see it! Now! Sundays are always my favorite. We have church, which was really good! One of the quotes that stood out to me was, ” When the things you want become less important than what God wants, then you lose the boredom.” It’s so true. I’m not perfect whatsoever, and I struggle daily, but that quote is the perfect explanation of life. We stray away from what God wants for us and we get bored. I know his plan for me is way better than any plan I could make for myself.
“The voice whose power created all things from nothing? That is the voice who speaks into my heart and makes it new.” – She Reads Truth
With all that said, I am blessed beyond measure and so are you.
So about the outfit, I wore this yesterday and I am in love with this blouse. The peter plan collar and polka dots give it sweet girlie touches. I have been really into high waisted jeans lately so I loved the top tucked it. It gives off a retro-vibe and accentuates curves that are sometimes hidden.
Hope you all have a great week!
I had someone ask me to do a post about my hair, so please comment below if you have any questions about it and I’ll post it this week!

I have wanted some sort of pastel hair for the longest time, from a pretty bird’s-egg-blue to a cotton candy pink. I was destined to have it at least once in my life. I love color, from my bright pom poms I adorn my clothes with to the bright lab lights in our bedroom. Color is everywhere in my life. My eyes get all heart shaped and I drool a little over a perfect display of colors.
I had finally chosen my hair color. Lavender. I knew it would be my shade and would be the perfect color to dress with. For a few months I knew I was going to do it and I kept it to myself this time just in case I would chicken out. I already told Bobby ’cause he is always the most supportive. Sometimes being yourself is hard, and letting others get to you is not fun. I am the worlds worst when it comes to this. I let what people think of me bother me way more than it should. I tip my hat to those ladies that are super confident in being you and not giving a darn what people say. Ever since I got my hair done I’ve loved it. Bobby loved it, my friends loved it, most of my family loved it, and even random strangers. Then there are those people who just don’t get it or think “you are super weird”, or “why purple?”, or “you are so brave” while they look at you with wide eyes. It’s strange, but ever since coloring my color I have had this crazy confidence going on. It’s awesome. I mean don’t get me wrong, I did get a little hurt by some people, but at the end of the day it’s all about what you love. Yes, there are people out there who still don’t like it and never will, and thats okay. Like my girl, Taylor said, ” You gotta shake it off.” Life is too short not to have fun hair. I thought this tee was the perfect choice for this post. The image of the lip biting the bullet is just pure genius. Take that chance, be you, and be happy with who you are! Do that one thing that you’ve always wanted to do and trust me you will be glad you did, because now I found this new piece of me that was always hidden and I’m living my life to the fullest. No more “one day”, your one day is today!

We had the best weather a few weeks ago. The highs were in the 60′s and the low was 48. It was the perfect time for bonfires and sweaters. Of course after just two days of that amazingness we were hit with the high 80′s and 90′s. The one thing I wish I could change about Georgia is the awful humidity and the fall weather we never really get to have. As soon as I hear that cooler weather is hitting I naturally start unpacking all my fall/winter goodies and put away all the summer clothes. It’s so fun to find pieces you forgot you had and put together new outfits. I have had this top for a while now and I have styled it multiple ways on the blog. It is such a classic piece to have and I knew it would be perfect with this antique looking necklace from Riffraff. I recently picked up this fall hat (bring out the felt hats!), another reason I love cooler weather, that would help complete my look. Crossing my fingers that some more cool weather will surprise us and stay for good! Hope you all are having a great week and that you are getting some yummy fall weather as well!
Yesterday was my 26th birthday and I had the best weekend celebrating it with friends and family. Friday night started it off with me and some of my friends going out for pizza. They all wore colored wigs to match my new lavender do. It was so much fun! I’m so happy I have friends like them!
Saturday was spent in Atlanta with Bobby. We found cool murals to take photos in front of, got to eat Shake Shack for lunch (eek! Ever since I had it in NY I’ve craved it. So happy they opened one in Buckhead.), did a little shopping, and got my sugar fix from the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM. It was seriously the best day ever!
Sunday was my actual birthday and me and my mom went to church with my grandparents. I’m so happy I have such a great relationship with them. I wish I could see them everyday. One of my Nana’s friends made me this amazing cake covered in icing. I don’t think I could have asked for a better birthday weekend.
26, I think me and you are going to get along just fine.

It’s that time of year again when you start bringing out all your plaid! I love a good plaid pattern. It just screams fall & winter! When Riffraff posted this vest in their new arrivals I knew I had to have it! I love that it isn’t too puffy and thick so I can wear it now with a tee underneath and then layer it up for the colder months. October is this week! Eek! Only the best month ever! So excited! Hope you all have a great week!

Hey y’all! So sorry for the lack of posts around here lately. Things have been crazy busy around the McCullough household. Bobby has been in and out of town working on different projects, so I haven’t had my wonderful photographer here to document my outfits. The weather is starting to cool down and things seem to be calming down for a little bit, so I’ll have more posts from here on out!
I had never heard of Wildfox until Riffraff started selling some of their pieces. I’ve become a huge fan of their vintage styled tees! I thought this one was pretty perfect with my lifestyle. I am the biggest candy lover/snack eater ever! I love a good ice cream before bed or at midnight. There’s just nothing better than a midnight snack! What is your favorite?
You know what goes perfect with a midnight snack? A good cuddle buddy! Beasley insisted on being in these photos. She is such a natural in front of the camera, and well she’s my little sidekick. She has to be wherever I am all the time.
Hope your Tuesday is marvelous!
